Virtual visits are now offered for new or existing patients Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Same-day and next-day appointments are also available.
Conducted in person or via telehealth, our doctors and advanced practitioners provide you with a head-to-toe assessment and a personalized wellness and prevention plan aimed at helping you take proactive measures toward a healthier life.
Chronic Disease Management
Our team takes the time to learn about your lifestyle, medical and family history to guide your care and provide education and support to help you manage your chronic disease. Should you need a referral to a specialist, Baptist Health’s extensive network of specialists allows for easy scheduling and continuity of care.
When you are feeling bad, Baptist Health Primary Care offers same-day and next-day in-person or virtual appointments. A doctor or advanced practitioner will assess your symptoms and order diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and laboratory tests, and prescribe medications, if needed.
Our comprehensive approach includes routine and personalized well care for women, without the need to see a gynecologist separately. Baptist Health Primary Care providers follow guidelines established by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and when needed, can refer you to specialists for follow-up. Our well-woman services include:
- Annual gynecologic exams
- Assessment and counseling
- Immunizations based on age and risk factors
- Pap smears and other diagnostic tests
Nutritional counseling is available for weight loss, prenatal nutrition and healthy eating to manage chronic diseases.
Baptist Health Primary Care includes social workers, who help patients manage a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns, such as depression, addiction or managing stress. They also provide crisis intervention and link patients to psychiatrists and psychotherapists.
Educating patients about diabetes and how to manage it properly is the main goal of our Diabetes Program. Over a six-month period, our multidisciplinary team of doctors, dietitians, nurses, healthcare coaches, social workers and exercise physiologists work collaboratively and with you to help you manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
Onsite lab services, including blood work, urine tests, strep cultures and other common health screenings are available at all Baptist Health Primary Care offices. This allows your primary care physician or advanced registered nurse practitioner to diagnose and treat most illnesses in one visit.
