An anti-gravity treadmill, known as the AlterG, allows you to run or walk with only a portion of your body weight. Working with your therapist, you can use the treadmill to gradually add weight as you become stronger, using video feedback and biofeedback monitors as you go. The anti-gravity treadmills can help patients regain their mobility quicker than regular treadmills and improve cardiovascular strength and endurance as well.

We work closely with the orthopedic surgeons to ensure you are mobile as soon as possible following joint replacement surgery. In some cases, we will have you moving four to six hours after your surgery, allowing you to recover faster and go home sooner. Most patients can return home in less than two days, with some able to go home the same day as surgery.
