Our flagship location and the heart of the Institute, Miami HEAT Sports Medicine Center, opened on the Doctors Hospital campus in Coral Gables September 2019. This 49,000-square-foot, four-story facility houses several subspecialty clinics as well as an ambulatory surgery center with four operating rooms, fully dedicated to orthopedic procedures. The Center complements the Institute’s integrated network of locations, which includes additional outposts throughout the tri-county South Florida region.
Additional expansion is on the horizon with the opening of the health and wellness complex at Hard Rock Stadium. Slated to open Spring 2023, this facility will house a physician practice as well as provide a full range of physical therapy treatments and diagnostic imaging to both professional athletes and the community.

Surgery Center
On the top floor of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care's hub at Miami Heat Sports Medicine Center in Coral Gables is its Ambulatory surgery center, which is fully-dedicated to orthopedic procedures. The surgery center features:
- 4,500 square feet of one of the world’s most advanced and efficient operating room suites
- Two of the four operating rooms have windows for viewing capabilities and student observations
- Fully-integrated, live operating room viewing capabilities throughout the building
- The air conditioning system is fed from copper ductwork, a first at a Baptist Health facility, which improves air quality and inhibits the growth of bacteria
- The temperature and humidity pressures for the operating rooms are monitored 24/7 by Baptist Health’s Security Communication (SECOM) team.
