Eating habits are critical when making healthy habits. Our experts include dietitians, diabetes care and education specialists who are highly trained in the area of food. They clarify complicated nutrition concepts in a way that is easy to understand. We offer weekly nutrition classes. Physician and Expert Talks
We proudly offer presentations by our prominent physicians. Our medical experts educate the community in many fields such as family medicine, cardiology, orthopedics and sports medicine, pediatrics, gastroenterology and neurology. Every physician brings current evidence-based treatments and helpful information, along with an opportunity for Q and A.
Behavioral Health Classes
Research shows that emotional well-being and self-care play a role in living a healthy lifestyle. Our experts include psychotherapists, psychiatrists and behavioral health specialists who understand that well. Their classes revolve around techniques and tips for managing stress, such as meditation classes. They also believe in educating the community with the goal of reducing damaging mental health stigmas. In addition to Behavioral Health classes, Baptist Health is now offering a Mental Health Screening Tool. Click below for more information.
Support Groups
Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes. Support groups provide comfort and encouragement during difficult times. Our support groups are available virtually and at various locations. Group topics include autism, addiction, grief, mental health, smoking cessation, new moms, arthritis, diabetes, lupus, bladder health and many others.
Health Screening
Health screenings are a preventive health measure aimed at identifying health risks. While not a replacement for routine examinations with your primary care physician, health screenings can help individuals keep an eye on their health. Early detection allows for individuals to educate themselves about risk factors and prevention, while making adjustments in healthier lifestyle choices. Community health offers free health screenings to include blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, body composition, waist circumference and osteoporosis.
