Eleftheria Kalogera, M.D. M.Sc., is a gynecologic oncologist at Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Kalogera specializes in treating gynecologic cancers, including the surgical and medical management of ovarian, uterine, cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancers. She is fluent in English, Greek, French and Spanish.
Dr. Kalogera joined Miami Cancer Institute from the Mayo Clinic, where she completed her training. During her residency, Dr. Kalogera pursued a clinical investigator track, which included an additional year of training. During that time, she earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Science. During her fellowship, she was named an assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Kalogera believes in a compassionate and holistic approach to cancer care, where the importance of respecting and responding to patients’ needs comes first as the foundation of any treatment plan.
Her work as a gynecologic oncologist allows her to help patients and their families navigate a challenging and intimate period of their lives. Dr. Kalogera is honored and humbled by the special bond she shares with each woman she treats.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Kalogera enjoys spending time with her significant other and their English bulldog. They love exploring Miami and the outdoors, traveling, CrossFit, and waterskiing.
Baptist Health Cancer Care was ranked among the top 10 percent in the Country, and Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute was ranked #1 in South Florida, with High Performing ratings in complex cancer care, prostate cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery and treating patients with leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma cancers. The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Miami Cancer Institute both received High Performing ratings in colon cancer surgery.
