Many large tumors are easy to target. Smaller ones — especially ones only a few millimeters wide — can present a challenge. That’s where TrueBeam™ Radiotherapy comes into play.
In the hands of the internationally acclaimed radiation oncologists at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, this versatile, innovative technology makes it possible to target and attack even the tiniest tumors that are no bigger than a pencil tip.
How TrueBeam Works
Our radiation oncologists can use this advanced radiotherapy system to accurately pinpoint and treat tumors throughout your entire body. This is a process called Total Body Irradiation. They also use RapidArc®, a sophisticated imaging and radiation delivery technique, to concentrate radiation beams from all angles around your body specifically onto your tumor.
Cancers We Treat
We use TrueBeam to treat a wide variety of cancers, including:
- Brain
- Breast
- Head and neck
