As the only cancer center in the world to offer all of the latest radiation therapy technologies under one roof, the Institute is also home to South Florida’s first state-of-the-art Proton Therapy Center, where our highly trained specialists and sub-specialists use the high-energy beams of proton therapy to target, attack and destroy cancer cells while minimizing side effects.

More than half of cancer patients will undergo some form of radiation therapy either as a singular therapy or in combination with other therapies, depending on each patient’s individual tumor.

Today, ViewRay’s MRIdian A3i upgrade gives the MRIdian system a suite of new and enhanced features that provides even greater precision and control. Miami Cancer Institute recently became the first in the world to use MRIdian A3i for adaptive radiation therapy, an advanced technique by which the delivered radiation is modified each day to ensure that high doses are precisely delivered only to the tumor, even if there are significant changes in the patient’s internal anatomy.

Miami Cancer Institute has also been newly accredited for its Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Programs, a major step forward in expanding access to innovative and highly targeted cancer treatments across South Florida.
