Psychosocial Aspects of Cancer Care

A cancer diagnosis may change the way you see yourself or your body, impact relationships with those close to you, and lead to feelings of sadness, anger and fear. Psychosocial Services help you cope with these challenges and all the mental and social aspects of your diagnosis and cancer treatment. We provide:

Access to trained oncology social workers

  • Counseling
  • Psychological support
  • Support groups

Compassionate Social Workers Are Here to Help

Our oncology social workers are board-certified, licensed clinicians. They connect you to community resources and help you address your emotional needs and concerns. From your time of diagnosis through treatment and survivorship, they’re available to you and your family. The oncology social work team is trained in individual, family and group counseling.

As you and your oncology social worker manage your cancer care, be sure to join our support programs to help you cope with your concerns and relieve feelings of isolation. Professionals lead all these groups. The groups are available free of charge.
