Youssef Zeidan, M.D., Ph.D. joins Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute as a Radiation Oncologist

BOCA RATON – September 3, 2021 – Youssef Zeidan, M.D., Ph.D. joins Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, as a radiation oncologist. Dr. Zeidan specializes in treating breast cancer, brain and spine tumors, gastrointestinal cancers, and soft tissue sarcomas.

Dr. Zeidan joins Lynn Cancer Institute from the American University of Beirut, where he served as an associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and the residency program director. He will continue his position as an associate professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

Dr. Zeidan has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in the field, focusing on tailored radiotherapy options. He received several grants and awards from the radiological society of North America (RSNA) and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). His work was recognized by the Young Leader Award from the Union for International Cancer Control.

Active in the research field, Dr. Zeidan focuses on adopting personalized approaches in radiation therapy and identifying novel mechanisms for radioprotection of normal tissues. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications, including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics, Radiation Oncology and BMC Cancer. He has also presented at many medical and scientific conferences. He serves as an editor and peer reviewer for numerous medical journals.

He received his dual M.D. /Ph.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. This was followed by four years of residency training in radiation oncology at Stanford University, where he served as chief resident. He was appointed an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Miami.

Dr. Zeidan will see patients at 701 NW 13th Street in Boca Raton and 10301 Hagen Ranch Road, Suite A-960 in Boynton Beach.
