Urologic Surgical Oncologist Ahmed Eldefrawy, M.D., joins Miami Cancer Institute
MIAMI – October 5, 2020 – Urologic surgical oncologist Ahmed Eldefrawy, M.D., joins Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Eldefrawy specializes in treating cancers of the male reproductive organs and male and female urinary tract, including bladder, kidney, testicular adrenal, and prostate cancers. He is fluent in English and Arabic.
“We would like to welcome Dr. Eldefrawy to Miami Cancer Institute,” said Leonard Kalman, M.D., executive deputy director and chief medical officer at Miami Cancer Institute. “His specialized training in treating urologic cancers will make him an asset to our patients and to our program.”
Dr. Eldefrawy joins Miami Cancer Institute from San Diego, where he completed a urologic oncology fellowship at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine.
His research has been featured in a number of peer-reviewed publications, including Urology, European Urology and Urologic Oncology. He is a member of the American Urological Association and Society of Urologic Oncology and serves as a reviewer for several urology journals, including the Journal of Urology.
Dr. Eldefrawy earned his medical degree from Alexandria University. He completed his urology residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
He will see patients at Miami Cancer Institute, located at 8900 North Kendall Drive in Miami.
