Renata R. Ruiz, M.D., FAAD, Joins Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute as a Dermatologist
MIAMI, FL – February 24, 2025 – Board-certified dermatologist Renata R. Ruiz, M.D., FAAD, has joined Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. She provides complete dermatological care, including medical, surgical and cosmetic. Her clinical interests include the treatment of multi-ethnic skin and diversity within the dermatology field.

Dr. Ruiz earned her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. She completed an internship in internal medicine as well as a three-year residency in dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Passionate about patient education, advocacy and volunteering, Dr. Ruiz has published her work in medical journals, presented abstracts at medical symposiums, participated in radio talk shows, led free clinics and traveled abroad for medical mission trips. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and several other professional associations.
Providing patient-centered care is the cornerstone of Dr. Ruiz’s practice. “I treat patients how I would like to be treated or how I would like a family member to be treated — with respect and empathy and a focus on trust and clear communication,” she said.
Dr. Ruiz is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. She will see patients at Miami Cancer Institute, located at 8900 North Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176.
