Nicholas Cortolillo, M.D., joins Baptist Health as a General and Vascular Surgeon

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – December 5, 2022 – Nicholas Cortolillo, M.D., M.P.H., joins Baptist Health as a vascular and general surgeon. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Cortolillo specializes in surgical and minimally endovascular treatments for a wide range of complex arterial and venous disorders. 

Dr. Cortolillo will also serve as a clinical associate professor in vascular surgery at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, two research universities with residency training programs in Palm Beach County.

Dr. Cortolillo’s research has been published in multiple medical journals, including Annals of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Robotic Surgery, Journal of Trauma Acute Care Surgery and Pediatric Surgery International. His research focuses on improving patients’ experience and quality of life after surgery.

Before joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Cortolillo completed his vascular surgery fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. During his fellowship, he ranked top among his peers in excellence and vascular surgical skills. While at Northwestern, he was awarded the 2021 Division of Hospital Medicine Excellence in Medical-Surgical Collaboration.
