Neil and Emily Kishter Make $1 Million Leadership Gift to Support Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s Keeping the Promise Campaign

April 2, 2025

BOCA RATON, FL – April 2, 2025 – Boca Raton Regional Hospital is honored to announce a generous $1 million leadership gift from Neil and Emily Kishter to Keeping the Promise… The Campaign for Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Their contribution will name the reception area of the new freestanding Baptist Health Emergency Room in West Boca Raton, a department of Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health.

“The Kishters have been part-time residents of Boca Raton for the past eight years, and we are incredibly grateful that they have come to know and support our hospital,” said Lincoln Mendez, North Region Executive, Baptist Health and CEO, Boca Raton Regional Hospital. "Their support serves as a testament to their faith in our dedication to exceptional patient care and their confidence in our future growth. We are grateful that they have chosen to invest in the health and well-being of our community."

Coming from Potomac, Maryland, Neil and Emily were drawn to Boca Raton for its warm climate, vibrant community and enhanced work-life balance. Emily and Neil are proud parents of Shelly and Carly Bressler, who have a long-standing passion for philanthropy, supporting organizations that improve lives and uplift those in need.

The Kishters are guided by the words of Anne Frank: “How wonderful it is that nobody needs to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” They believe strongly in strengthening community hospitals to ensure access to the highest level of care for all.

A private wealth advisor for more than 30 years, Neil has always encouraged his clients that once they are able to financially support the causes they care about, giving back provides a profound sense of joy.

Both Neil and Emily have extensive experience serving on hospital boards. Neil is a board member at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and previously served on the University of Maryland Cancer Center board. Together, they have contributed their leadership to the Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital board.

Beyond healthcare, their commitment to philanthropy extends to numerous organizations, including the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, Sweet Dream Makers, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Laughlin Family Foundation and the Washington Hebrew Congregation.

“We deeply respect Emily and Neil for their unwavering dedication to enhancing lives,” said Mark Larkin, President of Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation. “Their generosity goes beyond financial contributions—they give their time, energy, and an endless spirit of service. We look forward to further deepening their involvement in our hospital and donor family.”

The Keeping the Promise Campaign is the largest fundraising initiative in Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s history and supports more than $1 billion in capital investments. The campus redevelopment plans include the Gloria Drummond Patient Tower and a critical care tower where patients will be welcomed in the inviting new Louis B. and Anne W. Green Lobby with plans for retail, dining, meeting space, a sanctuary, outdoor courtyards, and other conveniences for visitors. The project features all private patient rooms exceeding the latest safety standards for patient care. In the current hospital building, all existing rooms will be converted to private rooms in a comprehensive renovation of all patient units, including maternity, oncology, and orthopedics. An expansion of Marcus Neuroscience Institute is now complete, with an emphasis on stroke, central nervous system tumors, spine, and epilepsy. The 972-car Schmidt Family Parking Facility will connect to Marcus Neuroscience Institute. The new Toby and Leon Cooperman Medical Arts Pavilion is home to our orthopedic institute, with an outpatient surgery center and physician specialty offices, and is adjacent to the Eleanor R. Baldwin Parking Facility.
