Nadia Nocera Zachariah, M.D., joins Miami Cancer Institute as Breast Surgical Oncologist

MIAMI – October 26th, 2021 – Board-certified breast surgical oncologist Nadia Nocera, M.D., joins Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health. Dr. Nocera specializes in treating breast cancer. She is fluent in English and conversational in Spanish and Italian.

Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute, Dr. Nocera completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

She has been involved with dendritic cell vaccine research for breast cancer and melanoma. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed publications, including the Annals of Surgical Oncology, the Journal of Surgical Education, Immunotherapy and Frontiers in Pharmacology. She has also presented at numerous medical conferences, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons Annual Meeting and the Miami Breast Cancer Conference.

She is passionate about treating breast cancer because it allows her to develop lasting relationships with her patients by caring for them beyond their initial diagnosis. She also strives to provide patients with the most innovative and up-to-date care for their diagnosis.

Dr. Nocera earned her medical degree from New York Medical College. Her residency in general surgery was done at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine and she completed her chief year of residency at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine/Jefferson Health New Jersey. This was followed by her breast surgical oncology fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

She will see patients at 1228 S. Pine Island Road, Suite 410, in Plantation.
