Michael S. Porrazzo, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute as a Radiation Oncologist
MIAMI, FL – August 29, 2025 – Board-certified radiation oncologist Michael S. Porrazzo, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Porrazzo has more than 30 years of experience utilizing radiation therapy to treat a wide range of cancers, including prostate, breast, head and neck, skin and lung. He has clinical expertise in stereotactic radiosurgery, intensity modulated radiotherapy, transperineal prostate implantation, mammosite breast radiotherapy, cardiovascular radiotherapy and interstitial brachytherapy.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Porrazzo served as the medical director of radiation oncology and clinical assistant professor of radiation oncology at Beaufort Memorial New River Cancer Center in Okatie, S.C.

Dr. Porrazzo earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. He completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a radiation oncology residency at SUNY- Health Science Center, State University Hospital in Brooklyn.
As a clinician-educator, Dr. Porrazzo is committed to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals. He also contributes to the medical community as a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
