Miami Cancer Institute Highlights Broad Oncology Research Portfolio at 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting

May 5, 2026

MIAMI, FLCHICAGOIL  May 5, 2026 – Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida, will showcase a diverse range of research at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), taking place May 29 – June 2 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. This year’s presentations span multiple tumor types and research areas, including a rapid oral presentation on authorship trends in phase III oncology trials, as well as research in glioblastoma and brain metastases, lung and gastrointestinal cancers, and prostate malignancies, alongside studies focused on clinical trial access, screening, and outcomes disparities.

“Our research presented at this year’s ASCO Annual Meeting reflects both the depth and diversity of work underway at Miami Cancer Institute,” said Manmeet Singh Ahluwalia, M.D., MBA, FASCO, chief of medical oncology, chief scientific officer, and deputy director of Miami Cancer Institute, and Fernandez Family Foundation Endowed Chair in Cancer Research. “From clinical trials in glioblastoma and brain metastases to advances in lung cancer detection, gastrointestinal malignancies, and prostate cancer outcomes, these studies also address critical questions around clinical trial access and screening gaps. Together, they reflect our commitment to improving outcomes across the cancer continuum.”
