Marc Gibber, M.D, is New Medical Director at Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East

BOCA RATON – March 23, 2023 – Board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon Marc Gibber, M.D., joins Baptist Health as the new medical director and chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East.

“We are honored that Dr. Gibber has joined the Baptist Health leadership team,” says Dr. Joseph McGinn, chief of cardiac surgery and deputy director of Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. “His extensive clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery, along with his unwavering commitment to the patients he treats, make him a valuable addition to our hospital and community.”
He previously worked as a cardiovascular surgeon at Baptist Health Hospital at Miami and Baptist Health South Miami Hospital. Dr. Gibber performs a wide variety of procedures, including open-heart bypass surgery, arterial grafting, valve repair or replacement, and treats pulmonary disease.

Dr. Gibber earned his medical degree at University of Maryland Medical School. He then completed a general surgery residency, cardiothoracic research fellowship and cardiothoracic surgery residency at University of Maryland Medical Center. After his graduate medical education, Dr. Gibber worked as a cardiothoracic surgeon for hospitals in Florida and Tennessee.

He will see patients at 2815 S. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435 and 801 Meadows Rd., Boca Raton, FL 33486.
