Lynn Cancer Institute Raises Funds for Cancer Support Services Through Run for the Ribbons 2026
BOCA RATON, FL — February 12, 2026 — The Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, hosted the 15th annual Run for the Ribbons, drawing 800 participants and raising more than $70,000 to support cancer patients through the hospital’s League of Ribbons.
“Run for the Ribbons continues to demonstrate the strength and compassion of our South Florida community,” said Dr. Louise Morrell, medical oncologist and chief medical executive of Lynn Cancer Institute. “The funds raised help support programs that address the medical, emotional and practical needs of patients throughout their cancer journey.”
The event featured a 5K run and a 1-mile walk for participants of all ages, followed by the annual World Cancer Day celebration honoring cancer survivors and their families. Survivors, caregivers, volunteers and supporters came together to recognize resilience and raise awareness for cancer care services.
Proceeds from Run for the Ribbons directly benefit the League of Ribbons, which funds critical cancer services and provides patients with complimentary health and wellness programs. These programs include guided imagery, yoga and massage therapy, as well as assistance such as grocery and gas gift cards to help ease the burden of treatment and recovery.
“The success of this year’s event helps ensure we can continue investing in services that support patients throughout treatment and recovery,” said Maureen Mann, vice president of Lynn Cancer Institute. “That continuity of care is vital to the work we do every day, and we are so grateful to the participants for making it possible.”
Now in its 15th year, Run for the Ribbons remains a signature fundraising and community engagement event for the Lynn Cancer Institute, supporting Baptist Health’s mission to provide compassionate, high-quality cancer care.
