Jose Alexander Chavez Gonzalez, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Primary Care as a Family Medicine Physician

MARATHON, Fla. – July 23, 2025 – Board-certified family medicine physician Jose Alexander Chavez Gonzalez, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Primary Care. He has more than 20 years of experience providing comprehensive primary care that includes preventive medicine, chronic disease management, treatment of acute illnesses and injuries and medication management.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Chavez Gonzalez was a family medicine physician at Cedars-Sinai Connect in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Dr. Chavez Gonzalez earned his medical degree at the Universidad de El Salvador Faculty of Medicine in San Salvador. He completed a family medicine internship and a family medicine residency at the University of California, Riverside, School of Medicine.

Dr. Chavez Gonzalez is committed to enhancing the health and wellness of the community. “I provide my patients with culturally competent care to improve their health outcomes and reduce racial and ethnic health disparities,” he said.

Dr. Chavez Gonzalez is fluent in English and Spanish. He will see patients at 3303 Overseas Highway, Suite 100, Marathon, FL 33050.
