Ingrid Herskovitz, M.D., FAAD, Joins Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute as a Dermatologist
MIAMI, FL – April 30, 2026 – Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute is pleased to announce the addition of Ingrid Herskovitz, M.D., FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist with dual certification in the United States and Brazil and more than 15 years of experience spanning medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her clinical and research interests encompass drug repurposing, neutrophilic dermatosis, neoplastic dermatology, acne, laser-based interventions and translational wound healing science.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Herskovitz practiced at Derm 360 in Coral Gables, Florida.
“We are proud to welcome Dr. Herskovitz to our highly skilled team of cancer care specialists, dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality care,” said Leonard Kalman, M.D., executive deputy medical director and chief medical officer at Miami Cancer Institute.
Dr. Herskovitz earned her medical degree and completed a dermatology residency and dermatologic surgery fellowship at Centro Universitário Faculdade de Medicina do ABC in São Paulo, Brazil — one of Latin America’s foremost academic medical centers. She subsequently pursued advanced clinical and research training in the United States, completing an internal medicine residency and a dermatology residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Health System, a program that logs over 60,000 patient visits annually and maintains a 100 percent board certification pass rate. Her academic formation also includes a dermatology research fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she trained alongside internationally recognized experts in wound healing, hair disorders, pigmented lesions and pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Herskovitz has made substantive contributions to dermatologic science, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and co-authoring chapters in major dermatology reference texts. She has been actively involved in the research and development of novel technologies for the treatment of chronic wounds — an area with significant implications for oncology patients who are disproportionately affected by impaired wound healing due to the effects of radiation, immunosuppression and surgery.
A fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the Brazilian Society of Dermatology, Dr. Herskovitz maintains active membership in several professional organizations, reflecting her commitment to remaining at the forefront of evidence-based dermatologic practice.
Clinically, Dr. Herskovitz takes a relationship-centered approach that prioritizes continuity, trust and individualized care. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, she integrates each patient’s medical history, lifestyle and personal goals into a tailored treatment plan. “I focus on both the medical and personal aspects of care, providing clear guidance and clinical direction while also ensuring that my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment plan and supported throughout the process,” she said. This philosophy is reflected in the consistent praise Dr. Herskovitz receives from patients, who highlight her thoroughness, attentiveness and ability to explain complex dermatologic conditions in clear, accessible terms.
Dr. Herskovitz is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish and conversational in French, enabling her to serve Miami’s diverse patient population with both clinical precision and cultural sensitivity. She will see patients at Miami Cancer Institute, 8900 North Kendall Drive, Miami, FL 33176.
