Enrique Diaz, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute as a Psychiatrist
MIAMI, FL – April 28, 2026 – Board-certified psychiatrist Enrique Diaz, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. Dr. Diaz specializes in adult and geriatric psychiatry and brings nearly two decades of post-residency clinical experience treating patients across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.
Dr. Diaz is board-certified in psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders and treatment-resistant conditions. He is particularly focused on optimizing evidence-based treatments, including medication management and neuromodulation strategies when appropriate. Throughout his career, he has cared for patients with complex psychiatric and medical comorbidities, including those facing substance use disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions.
Dr. Diaz earned his medical degree from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de La Habana in Cuba. He completed a residency in general psychiatry at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine / Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the same institution, where he served as chief fellow. His research has included work focused on Alzheimer’s disease and agitation, contributing to evidence-based approaches in geriatric mental health care.
