Emily Quintero, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Primary Care
MIAMI, FL – September 17, 2024 – Emily Quintero, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Primary Care as a family medicine physician. She provides comprehensive primary care that includes preventive care, annual physicals, screening tests, chronic disease management and healthy lifestyle counseling. Her professional interests include women’s health, geriatrics, cardiology, mental health and community health.

Dr. Quintero earned her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine and graduated with honors in research. She completed a family medicine residency at Baptist Health West Kendall Hospital, Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She served as chief resident during this program and received a fellow clinical teaching award and the Golden Pineapple Award for her exemplary care to patients.
Dr. Quintero has published scholarly articles and presented her work at scientific symposiums. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.
Fostering long-term relationships with her patients and their families built on trust and open communication allows Dr. Quintero to deliver personalized care that addresses not only physical health but also emotional and social wellness. Dr. Quintero focuses on treating the individual rather than the illness, which involves understanding her patients' unique backgrounds, personal circumstances and health goals. She also strives to promote health literacy and empower patients to take an active role in their healthcare decisions.
