September 5, 2025

MIAMI, FL – September 5, 2025 – Family medicine and geriatric medicine physician Eman Ahmad, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Primary Care. She provides comprehensive care that prioritizes patient-centered strategies and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, geriatric medicine, chronic disease management and dementia.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Ahmad was chief of geriatric medicine at Alameda Health System in Oakland, Calif., where she managed the delivery of geriatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and fostered the professional growth of staff, students, residents and fellows.

"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Ahmad to our highly skilled team of medical professionals, dedicated to providing the highest quality care to our patients,” said Jack Ziffer, Ph.D., M.D., executive vice president, chief clinical officer and chief physician executive at Baptist Health.

Dr. Ahmad is certified in family medicine and geriatric medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and several other professional organizations.

Dr. Ahmad earned her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She completed a family medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Calif., and a geriatric medicine fellowship at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Long Island, N.Y.

In her practice, Dr. Ahmad has found that older adults managing chronic conditions often encounter fragmented care and unnecessary healthcare services that do not align with their personal goals and preferences. “I strive to provide coordinated care that respects and supports my patients’ needs and values, ultimately contributing to enhanced satisfaction and improved health outcomes and quality of life,” she said.

Dr. Ahmad is fluent in English and Arabic. She will see patients at Baptist Health Primary Care | Internal Medicine Center, 8940 North Kendall Drive, Suite 900E, Miami, FL 33176, and Baptist Health Primary Care | Coral Gables (Belmont Village), 4101 Salzedo Street, Coral Gables, FL 33146.
