Craig Hostig, M.D., FACC, Joins Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care

MIAMI, FL – March 2, 2026 – Board-certified cardiologist Craig Hostig, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care, bringing decades of experience in general cardiology and a strong commitment to patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Specializing in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of heart conditions, his clinical focus is providing comprehensive, preventive and long-term cardiac care. He joins Baptist Health following many years of practice in Broward County, where he cared for patients across multiple clinical settings and built enduring relationships rooted in trust, continuity and access to care.

Dr. Hostig earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed his internship, residency and fellowship training through Weill Cornell Medicine affiliated institutions, including North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at North Shore University Hospital, where he also held academic appointments with Cornell University Medical College.

Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Hostig also holds certification in nuclear cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has participated in research focused on acute myocardial infarction, thrombolytic therapy and advances in cardiac catheterization strategies. In addition to his clinical work, he has served on hospital leadership and advisory committees, contributing to quality improvement and governance initiatives.
