Claudia Garcia MD Joins Baptist Health Primary Care

MIAMI, FL – April 5, 2024 – Claudia Garcia, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Primary Care. She provides preventive care, annual physicals and sports physicals, screening tests, chronic disease management and healthy lifestyle counseling to patients. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.   

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Garcia was a primary care physician at Chen Senior Medical Center in Miami, Fla. She is an associate faculty member at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, serving as a primary care preceptor for first-year medical students.

Dr. Garcia earned her medical degree at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Fla.                                                  

Dr. Garcia strives to provide compassionate, evidenced-based medicine. “To provide personalized care, I take the time to listen to my patients,” she said. “I also stay current with medical literature so I can provide my patients with the most up-to-date care.”

Dr. Garcia is fluent in English and Spanish. She will see patients at 6280 SW 72 Street, Suite 410, South Miami, FL 33143.
