Cancer Rehabilitation Physician Romer Orada, D.O., joins Baptist Health’s Miami Cancer Institute
MIAMI – March 9, 2021 – Board-certified cancer rehabilitation physician Romer Orada, D.O., joins Baptist Health’s Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Orada specializes in cancer rehabilitation and treats patients who have impairments related to cancer or associated treatments. These include musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathy, weakness, gait difficulty, balance problems, spasticity, contracture, difficulty swallowing and lymphedema. He is fluent in English and Filipino/Tagalog.

Dr. Orada joins Miami Cancer Institute from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He works with a multidisciplinary team and uses treatments like non-opioid medications, targeted therapy/exercise prescriptions, therapeutic injections, bracing/orthotics, assistive devices and education to provide a comprehensive treatment plan for his patients with cancer-related impairments or disabilities.
During his cancer rehabilitation fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, Dr. Orada served as a co-investigator for a case series of breast lymphedema. He is also a frequent speaker and lecturer on topics related to cancer rehabilitation.
During his residency, Dr. Orada was named chief resident and resident of the year. He also served as the residency rotation director of the Cancer Rehabilitation PM&R rotation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Orada earned his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Virginia Campus. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical School and fellowship in cancer rehabilitation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
He will see patients at Miami Cancer Institute, located at 8900 North Kendall Drive in Miami.
