Bryon Tompkins, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute
MIAMI, FL – August 28, 2023 – Bryon Tompkins, M.D., is a board-certified surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, specializing in cardiothoracic surgery.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Tompkins completed a three-year fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Tompkins has been published in multiple medical journals including Journal of Cardiac Surgery and the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and American Association for Thoracic Surgery.
“I am dedicated to finding the best solution for each patient’s unique situation. That’s why I will use minimally invasive approaches when possible or perform robotic or open surgeries as necessary to help my patients on their roads to recovery,” said Tompkins.
Dr. Tompkins earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed his surgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami, where he served as administrative chief resident.
