Baptist Health South Florida Names New Chief Digital and Information Officer
MIAMI, FL - May 21, 2024 - Baptist Health South Florida today announced the appointment of Sha Edathumparampil as chief digital and information officer, responsible for leading all functions of the Technology & Digital (T&D) division. In this role, Edathumparampil will drive Baptist Health’s digital transformation efforts while enhancing technology support and customer service for physicians, staff and patients.
“Sha is a strategic and visionary executive who will lead our efforts to innovate and leverage technology to improve patient access and customer service,” said Joe Natoli, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Baptist Health. “With his guidance, our organization will continue to utilize advanced digital, data and artificial intelligence capabilities to improve patient and provider experience as well as operational efficiency."
Edathumparampil joined Baptist Health three years ago from American Century Investments, where he was chief data officer and vice president of technology. He has also held technology and digital leadership roles at BMO Financial Group, The Walt Disney Company, Sabre Inc., and Fidelity Investments.

During his tenure, Edathumparampil has spearheaded initiatives like the development of Baptist Health’s digital front door, the PineApp, enhanced data analytics capabilities, and introduced AI in operational and clinical settings. Most recently, he oversaw product management, electronic medical record standardization across the system, and the technology and digital division's finances.

Edathumparampil is a graduate of Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani, India, with a degree in engineering.
