Baptist Health Opens New Freestanding Emergency Room in West Boca
Boca Raton, FL – December 4, 2024 – Today, Baptist Health celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new, state-of-the-art freestanding emergency room (ER) in West Boca. The facility will operate as a department of Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health. The 16,800-square-foot ER will provide round-the-clock emergency services to the surrounding community.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Nancy Batista-Rodriguez, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services, brought together Baptist Health leadership, city officials, board and community members and esteemed medical professionals. Attendees were given an exclusive first look at the facility’s spacious design and advanced capabilities. 
“This new facility reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that high-quality, compassionate care is available close to home,” said Batista-Rodriguez. “We are thrilled to expand our services in the West Boca community and look forward to providing timely, expert care when every second counts.”
With 18 exam rooms and a dedicated triage area, the freestanding ER offers a range of convenient on-site services. Patients will have access to comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, including CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays, all under one roof. The facility also features an on-site laboratory and a pharmacy, making it a one-stop destination for urgent medical needs.

The new ER facility complements existing services in the area, which include Baptist Health Urgent Care, Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health Virtual Urgent Care on the PineApp. Together, this network of care ensures that the West Boca community has access to a wide range of healthcare options.
