Baptist Health Foundation Unveils Patrick and Linda McEnany Admitting Area at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital

CORAL GABLES, FL, – May 12, 2025 – Baptist Health Foundation held an unveiling ceremony on May 6 for the naming of the Patrick and Linda McEnany Admitting area on the main floor of Baptist Health Doctors Hospital. The naming honors a $1 million gift made by the McEnanys in 2024, which will support surgical services at the hospital. Speakers at the event included Alex Villoch, CEO of Baptist Health Foundation; Lourdes Boue, CEO of Doctors Hospital and West Kendall Baptist Hospital; Sid Perkins, Foundation Council chair and Doctors Hospital Operating Board member and donors Patrick and Linda McEnany. 

“We’re extremely grateful for the generosity of the McEnany family,” said Alex Villoch. “They truly understand the power of philanthropy in shaping the future of community healthcare. This donation will support the hospital’s growth and benefit patient care and treatment for many years to come.”

Patrick and Linda McEnany are longtime residents of Coral Gables. Both were born and raised in the area. Patrick is the chairman and founder of Coral Gables-based Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, with the company describing its core purpose as being committed to developing novel, safe and efficacious therapies to improve the lives of people with rare diseases.

“Doctors Hospital is one of the most innovative hospitals in South Florida and has been an important anchor and integral part of our local healthcare community,” said Patrick McEnany. “Linda and I are fortunate to know many of the healthcare professionals affiliated with the hospital and within the Baptist Health organization. Baptist Health has made a great difference in our lives, and we want to ensure that others will continue to enjoy the same.”

Lourdes Boue remarked, “This is a significant gift for Doctors Hospital, and we thank the McEnanys for their support. This donation will make a tremendous impact on our ability to provide advanced technology and equipment for orthopedic procedures and many other types of surgery, all right here in Coral Gables.”
