Baptist Health Foundation Receives $1.5 Million Gift from Robins & Morton to Benefit Baptist Health Homestead Hospital
CORAL GABLES, FL – September 2, 2026 – Baptist Health Foundation announced today a $1.5 million gift from Robins & Morton, a national commercial construction firm, to support the Baptist Health Homestead Hospital Clinical Expansion Fund.
The gift will help fund the construction of a new four-story, 134,000-square-foot tower at Homestead Hospital in Homestead, Florida. The expansion will increase inpatient capacity, enhance surgical and diagnostic services and improve the overall patient experience, helping meet the growing healthcare needs of South Miami-Dade County.

Homestead and the surrounding South Miami-Dade region are experiencing significant population growth, with an estimated 50,000 new residents expected in the coming years. As a critical healthcare resource for South Dade, Homestead Hospital provides essential services to communities located far from major medical centers and advanced specialty care. The hospital currently experiences high utilization, with nearly 10,000 admissions and more than 3,000 surgeries each year.
