Baptist Health Baptist Hospital Launches Inspirational Space for Patients and Visitors

December 14, 2023

The Inspiration Hall, powered by VITAS® Healthcare, creates a space of reflection and comfort.

MIAMI, FL – December 14, 2023 – Baptist Health Baptist Hospital launched the Inspiration Hall, powered by national leader in hospice and palliative care services, VITAS Healthcare. Located on the first floor near the hospital’s imaging center waiting room, the Inspiration Hall is an immersive experience where patients, visitors and hospital team members can submit, read or watch messages of comfort and support that will inspire others in their health journey.

Uploading an inspirational message is easy via a QR code available at the Inspiration Hall or by visiting BaptistHealth.net/Inspiration from a mobile device or desktop. Baptist Hospital will broadcast messages on the Inspiration Hall’s digital monitors.

“We invite everyone visiting our hospital to leave messages of hope, gratitude and encouragement at our Baptist Hospital VITAS Inspiration Hall,” said Bill Ulbricht, CEO of Baptist Hospital. “We are confident these inspiring messages will make a difference in the lives of patients, families and team members.”

The Inspiration Hall concept originated from VITAS Healthcare, which provides compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. As experts in guiding patients and their loved ones during the most difficult moments of life, they envisioned a location where anyone who passed through could experience inspiration and comfort.

“Today we see the result of that vision,” said Natalia Hernandez, VITAS vice president of operations, during the unveiling ceremony. “In our ongoing partnership with Baptist Health, VITAS remains committed to delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring families feel supported throughout their healthcare journey, especially during challenging times like transitioning to hospice care. The commitment to this shared goal is truly commendable.”

“We are very grateful to VITAS Healthcare for partnering with Baptist Health Baptist Hospital in support of this project,” said Alex Villoch, CEO of Baptist Health Foundation. “This initiative creates an environment of compassionate care and support for patients, offering hope and encouraging healing.”
