Adedapo (Dapo) Iluyomade, M.D., Joins Baptist Health’s Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute as a Preventive Cardiologist
MIAMI, FL – February 3, 2022 – Board-certified preventive cardiologist Adedapo (Dapo) Iluyomade, M.D., joins Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute Cardiology Group, part of Baptist Health. Dr. Iluyomade specializes in preventive cardiology, clinical lipidology and cardiovascular imaging. He is fluent in English and Yoruba and conversational in Spanish. He is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography and internal medicine.

Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Iluyomade served as a noninvasive cardiologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Plymouth State University and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Iluyomade was named both chief resident during his residency and chief fellow during his fellowship. He was also selected to serve on the board of the American College of Cardiology’s Florida Chapter.
Passionate about furthering the field of preventive cardiology, Dr. Iluyomade was awarded a $50,000 COVID Innovations Grant from the Association of Black Cardiologists. He has also developed a program and algorithm to detect heart disease at its earliest stages in patients with diabetes.
Dr. Iluyomade earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
