Joe Natoli oversees construction and facilities management, government and community relations, hospitality and business relations, human resources, innovation, international services, legal counsel, managed care contracting, technology and digital and the Baptist Health South Florida Foundation.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Mr. Natoli served as senior vice president for business and finance and chief financial officer of the University of Miami. He also served as interim chief operating officer of the University of Miami Health System, leading University of Miami Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the physician practice plan and support departments.

Mr. Natoli also worked for Knight Ridder, Inc., where he served as chairman and publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News. Additionally, he served as president and publisher of the San Jose Mercury News and president of the Miami Herald Publishing Company.

Mr. Natoli earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla. He is a former certified public accountant and instructor of the Becker CPA Review course. He also completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and its Managing Health Care Delivery program.
