Jack A. Ziffer, Ph.D., M.D., is responsible for Baptist Health South Florida’s Clinical Enterprise, with a focus on coordinating vision, strategy, quality and research among the physician leadership in the system, concentrating on its institutes.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Ziffer served as president and CEO of Radiology Associates of South Florida, one of the largest radiology groups in South Florida and among the largest in the nation. He was also director of cardiovascular nuclear medicine at Emory University in Atlanta.
Dr. Ziffer earned a doctorate in molecular biology from The Rockefeller University in New York, his medical degree in an accelerated two year program at the University of Miami, and simultaneously earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree with highest honors in four years from Emory University where he later completed residencies and fellowships in radiology, nuclear medicine and cardiovascular MRI in 4 years.
Dr. Ziffer is a Master of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Radiology, the American Heart Association and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He has held numerous medical society leadership positions nationally and internationally.
