This was the finest experience with a medical provider. I can't recall if I ever had a doctor so thoroughly review my history before stepping into the room. Without notes, Dr. Venkatappa summarized my medical history and treatment and engaged me in a conversation about my experience, current health and health concerns. Even though I am 12 yrs post breast cancer only establishing follow-up care now living in FL, he treated this appointment with thoughtful attention.

I thank the doctor for putting my mind at ease as he was my second opinion after seeing a different hematologist who was testing me for blood cancers. He assured me that there was no need for that test based off my symptoms and we went over the results anyways. He changed me medicine as I was told by the other doctor to continue to take a medicine that was not working for me and made my levels worse.

Dr. V was excellent. Even though no follow-up treatment was recommended, he explained my diagnosis with diagrams that were very helpful, even after having had mastectomies and multiple visits In other clinics up to this point. I would suggest that a medical oncologist be the primary provider and coordinator of cases, even if chemo is not needed. Very personalized experience.
