There are no permanent solutions to my problem (osteoarthritis of both knees). All options are temporary and palliative only. It seem to me that Pain Management is more appropriate for other kinds of pain problems, not knees. I would not recommend this kind of weak-in-results intervention to others. This is no to blame the doctor, he works with the current tools available to medicine. He was very kind and courteous explaining the available options.

He was amaizing. I've met several pain specialist over the last 20 years and he was amaizing. He does procedures that others don't. He also thought outside the box by suggesting some new things I haven't done before. I really liked that he wanted to try everything possible to reduce or elimate my pain before I jump into a spine surgery that includes rods and a lot of hardware. Being a retired Orthopedic RN I know that spine surgeries are only about 50 % successful. Even if I do end up needing a fusion, it will be a lot less complicated if I'm able to get some pain relief before that.
