Dr. Tolchin not only explained all the options and the possible treatments. He recommended to give me an injection for my TBand/Great Trochanter pain and he did it right away then and there in the office! VERY grateful I did not have to schedule an appt and take more time.

Dr Tolchin saved my life! He examined me with concern. He already knew I had a big problem and as soon as the examination was done he sent me to Baptist for emergency surgery calling a head for a Doctor meeting in the emergency room. They took me in right away for surgery. He is very knowledgeable and has such a great concern for your well being. He's outstanding!

Dr. Tolchin is top notch! He went above and beyond! I was amazed that he reviewed and tested the strength of each bone, including my spine, fingers, toes, arms, and legs. While explaining my cervical X-rays, he showed them to me. He is very patient, understanding, thorough, and professional. As he showed me the exercises (on paper) that we wants me to do, he explained (and hand-wrote) the number of reps/sets that I'm to do. His providing that Handout (with detailed drawings and Instructions) has meant a lot. (Instead, he could have told me to look It up on the Internet-which I may have forgotten to do). In short, his providing the Handout was paramount! In turn, I started those at-home exercises within minutes following that OV. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Tolchin, who's a rare find. He truly cares about his patients and respects the fact that I am not seeking medication; I prefer to resolve my injuries with at-home physical exercise (stretching and strengthening) as much as possible. Over the past 21 years, I've met several Orthopedic Surgeons, and can assure that Dr. Tolchin is now my favorite.

Dr. Tolchin is a very compassionate, warm and authentic physician. I didn't feel rushed and I felt that he was present and listened to me, which is not common in today's healthcare environment. He recognized all the efforts that I have been making to manage the pain in my lower back on a daily basis, including strengthening and stretching exercises on a daily basis. He explained what the next steps should be in diagnosing the problem in my back and why I am experiencing more pain than in the past few years. I am looking forward to my next appointment to get some answers and hopefully successful treatment in the future.
