The Baptist Health Summer Healthcare Immersion program provides high school students with a dynamic and engaging experience designed to explore career opportunities, develop practical skills, and build professional connections in the healthcare industry. Through interactive learning, hands-on simulations, and connections with healthcare professionals, students will gain valuable insights into the diverse career pathways available in healthcare, medicine, pharmacy and administration.

Rooted in our commitment for excellence, innovation, and community engagement, this program fosters a deeper understanding of the field while inspiring students to pursue academic and professional careers in healthcare.

Participants will:
  • Explore diverse healthcare careers through interactive learning
  • Develop practical skills with hands-on simulations and activities
  • Build connections with healthcare professionals and experts in the field

  • Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older as of July 26, 2026
  • Must be a High School student currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior
  • Reliable transportation to Baptist Hospital of Miami

 

Application Requirements

  • Complete application
  • Upload high school transcript
  • Upload Teacher Recommendation Letter (on school letterhead, with teacher signature)
  • Upload Letter of Motivation (300 - 500 words)
  • Resume

Acceptance and admission to the program is contingent on submission of all requested materials and meeting all eligibility requirements as determined by the program.
