PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Homestead Hospital Preceptors

Dr. Pardo is the Residency Program Director. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Long Island University, then later obtained a post-graduate Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at Nova Southeastern University. She completed her Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. In alignment with her strong commitment to patient safety, she pursued and completed an Anticoagulation Therapy Management Certificate Program at the University of Southern Indiana. She later became a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

Dr. Pardo currently manages the pharmacy clinical program at Homestead Hospital, where she is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, and overseeing clinical pharmacy services to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. She actively contributes to multiple committees, including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Antimicrobial Review, Stroke ACT, Pain, Code Audit, Patient Safety, Diversion, Wellness & Wellbeing, and Performance Improvement.

In 2014, she was the recipient of the Nova Southeastern University preceptor of the year award. Her passion for the pharmacy profession led her to design and implement the Pharmacy Residency program (PGY1) at Homestead Hospital in 2015.

Dr. Pardo serves as an active member of the Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists (FSHP) Legal and Regulatory Affairs Council. She served in the FSHP House of Delegates. She is a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Dade County Pharmacy Association.

Dr. Ade, is the Director of Pharmacy at Homestead Hospital. She received her BS in Pharmacy from Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, Long Island University in 1994. She then pursued and received her post-graduate PharmD degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. She also received a Master’s in Health Care Administration in 2012 from the University of Saint Francis. Dr. Ade holds a Masters in Biomedical Informatics from Nova Southeastern University. She is a green belt certified in Lean Six Sigma. Dr. Ade’s responsibilities include strategic and budget planning; managing performance improvement and medication use safety activities; managing the pharmaceutical supply chain, the financial operations and the human resources for the department of Pharmacy. She has implemented several informatics and automation related projects. She ensures that the pharmacy department’s goals and strategic priorities are aligned with those of the hospitals and health systems.

Sarah Amofah received her BS (Hons) Pharmacy degree from the University of Portsmouth in England, United Kingdom. Originally hired for the set up and implementation of Homestead Hospital’s bedside barcoding medication administration system, her role has since spanned formulary management, informatics, performance improvement, quality, and special projects and roles relating to pharmacy processes and patient safety, such as co-chairing Baptist Health South Florida’s Medication Safety Accelerated Change Team and chairing the Homestead Hospital’s Medication Safety Committee.

She is a member of Homestead Hospital’s Medication Safety Committee, Clinical Peer Review Committee, Patient Safety Committee, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. She serves on both the Medication Safety Clinical Forum and the Legal and Regulatory Council of the Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists.

Her passion for and pursuit of quality, led Mrs. Amofah to obtain board certification in Health Care Quality and Management. She is a Fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. She is also a certified Six Sigma green belt, has completed the Institute for Safe Medication Practices’ (ISMP) Practitioner in Residence program, holds ASHP’s Medication Safety Certificate, and is a licensed Consultant Pharmacist. She also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in both Healthcare Management and Operations Management. She is a surveyor for The Joint Commission’s Accreditation and Certification division.

Rosemarie Cruz, received her BS Pharmacy degree from Manila Central University College of Pharmacy, Philippines. She practiced as a regulatory pharmacist and pharmacy supervisor in pharmaceutical field for 11 years in the Philippines and became a Registered Pharmacist in United States in 2008.

Ms. Cruz has been the team leader in the Emergency Department Pharmacy Satellite for more than 10 years and possesses an ASHP Emergency Medicine Certificate. Her role in Emergency Department includes verifying orders for accuracy and safety, performing reviews of home medication history to promote safe and seamless transitions of care attending codes (Code blue, Stroke alert, STEMI and intubations), and providing in-services to heath care providers and patients. She is a primary resource for drug information in the Emergency Department. Ms. Cruz authored the Stroke Alert Pharmacy Response Procedure utilized at Homestead Hospital. She is an active member of Multidisciplinary Stroke Committee. Ms. Cruz assists the ED clinical nurse educators with the onboarding of new staff and is in constant collaboration with them as well as the ED providers on protocols and procedures that relate to the care of the ED patients.

Dr. D’Ambrosia, received both her bachelor degree's and master's degrees in Pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Bologna in Bologna, Italy. Her early-career focus was on basic research at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas; She received her post-graduate Doctor in Pharmacy degree from the University of Shenandoah. Dr. D’Ambrosia practices with a focus on Internal Medicine. She serves as a Clinical Staff II pharmacist. She has been recognized for her efforts and participations in the implementation of several clinical initiatives and patient safety measures. She is involved is several committees such as The Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and Medication Safety Committee. Dr. D’ Ambrosia was presented with the 2021 Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year Award by the BHSF Pharmacy Residency Program. She serves on the Professional Affairs Council of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Dr. Dornevil is a Clinical Specialist I, specialized in nutrition support. She obtained her doctorate in pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Dornevil serves as a co-preceptor of Internal Medicine. She is board-certified in both Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and Nutrition Support (BCNSP). She also earned the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists’ ASP Certificate.

Dr. Dornevil holds national professional leadership roles, including serving as a Certified Practice Reviewer for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and as an examination writer and standard-setting expert for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). Through these roles, she contributes to the advancement of board certification processes and supports the maintenance of rigorous standards for professional pharmacy practice.

Dr. Dornevil is an active member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP), where she serves on the Educational Affairs Council. She is also a member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN).

Beyond domestic clinical practice, she actively participates in international medical mission work, serving as a volunteer pharmacist for the Haitian American Pharmacists Association and Hope for Humanity Worldwide on medical outreach trips to underserved regions outside the United States.

Dr. Fuerte is the infectious diseases clinical specialist. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at Florida International University in 2007 and practiced as a Quality Control Chemist II at Teva Pharmaceuticals prior to obtaining his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Union University in 2013. Upon culmination of his doctorate degree, he completed a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency at Baptist Health South Miami Hospital. Dr. Fuerte serves as a resource for prescribers and the pharmacy department for optimization of antimicrobial therapy at Homestead Hospital. He currently precepts pharmacy students and is the preceptor for the infectious disease and HIV learning experiences for the pharmacy residency program. Dr. Fuerte serves as an active member of the Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists Infectious Disease Clinical Forum.

Dr. Bosques Gómez is a Clinical Specialist with expertise in Transitions of Care. She serves as a co-preceptor for the Internal Medicine rotation and precepts the Transitions of Care learning experience.

Dr. Bosques Gómez obtained her Master of Public Health from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and later obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University, Puerto Rico campus. Dr. Bosques Gómez completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, a geriatric community hospital, and went on to specialize in Ambulatory Care through a PGY-2 residency at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, NY.

In addition to her residency training, she has worked as a floater pharmacist with CVS, further broadening her clinical and community pharmacy experience.

Most recently, Dr. Bosques joined Baptist Health as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Transitions of Care. She is actively involved in several Homestead Hospital committees, including the Readmission Workgroup, Medication Safety, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, and Antimicrobial Stewardship.

Dr. Jalice, received a Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) degree as a Pre-Pharmacy major at the University of Miami and went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University. She then completed a post-graduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency at South Miami Hospital and became a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) shortly after. Upon finishing residency, she worked as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at South Miami Hospital and subsequently transferred to Homestead Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist Educator/Specialist.

During her time at Baptist Health South Florida, Ada has actively contributed to the development and improvement of system-wide processes and protocols by serving on numerous committees, such as, The Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Homestead Hospital’s Critical Care, Code Audit, Sepsis Work Group, and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committees. In addition, she is actively involved in the conduction, review, and dissemination of research through her membership with the Evidence Based Practice Research Council (EBPRC). Dr. Jalice has also been committed to promoting patient well-being as a Patient Safety Champion for the system and has dedicated time to mentoring pharmacy students and residents alike. Dr. Jalice is an active member of the Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Julien is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist graduated from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy. He completed a PGY-1 residency at Memorial Regional Hospital South and a PGY-2 Geriatric Pharmacy Residency at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

Since 2022, Dr. Julien has been actively engaged in Homestead Hospital’s clinical pharmacy services, where he also serves as the PGY-1 Residency Program Coordinator. He applies his geriatric expertise to optimize medication therapy for older adults, champion age-friendly practices, and mentor residents and students in research, core competencies, and interdisciplinary care. Dr. Julien is deeply committed to teaching and professional development. He leads disease-state education sessions, mentors' pharmacy students and residents through case presentations and journal clubs, and actively contributes to drug monograph and formulary review committees. Board-certified in Geriatric Pharmacy, he leverages his specialized training to advance age-friendly initiatives and support our program’s mission of cultivating the next generation of clinical pharmacy leaders.

Dr. Lamarque received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in 2007 and has practiced as an inpatient pharmacist for fifteen years. She received her pharmacotherapy board certification, BCPS in 2012.

Her experience includes practicing at UF Health Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville, Baptist Hospital of Miami (BHM), and HCA Mercy Hospital. During her time at BHM and Mercy Hospital, she had a focus on oncology pharmacy with a continued passion for medication safety and received the ASHP Medication Safety Certificate in March of 2020. At BHM, she participated in the Medication Use and Safety Committee, and as a Clinical Pharmacist II, participated in various oncology and medication safety projects. At HCA Mercy Hospital, she was the Advanced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist and the lead for Medication Safety Committee. She is now the Medication Safety and Quality Coordinator at Homestead Hospital and is a Board-Certified in Professional Patient Safety.

Olayinka (Yinka) Olufidipe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology and subsequently obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of London School of Pharmacy. He also holds a Master’s degree in Environmental & Health Technology from Imperial College, University of London. He is also board-certified in Pharmacotherapy.

He began his pharmacy career in the UK and worked at various hospital sectors as a Clinical Pharmacist with experiences in varying disciplines before relocating abroad. He worked at Baptist Hospital of Miami (BHM), part of Baptist Health South Florida as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist. Through the years, he became a Senior Clinical Staff Pharmacist and later, the Pharmacy Supervisor for operations. He has been involved in precepting residents and students for the past 11 years and oversaw the Medication Use and Pharmacy operations residency rotations at BHM.

He is currently the Pharmacy Operations Manager at Homestead Hospital. In his current managerial role, he provides operational and leadership support for all facets of pharmacy operations ranging from day to day workflow, process implementation and validation as well as staff, student, resident training and development. He also holds a certificate in Strategic Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University.
