Dr. Jacqualine Igwe is the Medication Safety, Quality and Accreditation Coordinator at Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy and Ambulatory Pharmacy Services. Dr. Igwe Etumnu leads and supports the specialty pharmacy and other outpatient and ambulatory services such as retail, pharmacy infusion and ambulatory settings for any safety, quality and accreditation needs. She also oversees Call Center operations at the Specialty Pharmacy.
Dr. Igwe Etumnu completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She pursued a PGY1 Pharmacy residency at Memorial Hospital Pembroke and further pursued a PGY2 Specialty Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency at University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Igwe Etumnu is a Diplomat of Pharmacy Leadership Academy (DPLA) and obtained her teaching certificate from University of Kentucky. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Igwe participates as a member of American Association of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP).
Maria E. Pulido MS, PharmD, CPh, AAHIVP, CSP graduated from the University of Florida with a double bachelor’s in Microbiology and Cell Science and Spanish. She attended Florida International University (FIU) where she completed a master’s degree in Biology and continued her post graduate studies at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy (NSU-COP), where she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed a PGY1 in Community (Specialty-based) Pharmacy at Walgreens and NSU College of Pharmacy and continued her post-graduate career as a specialty pharmacist at Chroniscript, a Walgreens Pharmacy. She has prior experience clinically managing patients with HIV/AIDS, solid organ transplant, chronic inflammatory diseases, osteoporosis, oncologic and fertility disorders. She has previous experience as the resident coordinator and preceptor for the PGY1 Community Pharmacy at Walgreens and NSU College of Pharmacy. She is currently a preceptor for NSU College of Pharmacy, PBA College of Pharmacy and USF College of Pharmacy students.
Dr. Pulido joined the team at Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy in 2021 and is currently an Ambulatory Clinical Specialist I. She serves in external committees as a co-chair of the AAHIVM Committee Members and as a member of the NASP Education Committee.
Dr. Karina Delgado earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master in Business Administration concurrently from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL in 2018. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2019.
Dr. Delgado started her career at Baptist Health South Florida as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at South Miami Hospital focusing on and supporting clinical pharmacy operations within the emergency department. Dr. Delgado is now dedicated and involved in managing patients on their specialty medications, and ensuring enrolled patients are successfully treating their rare conditions and achieving the best possible clinical outcomes by supporting our patients at each step in their therapeutic journey. Dr. Delgado plays an integral role in working with our Ambulatory Division and interdisciplinary teams to provide specialized care to patients by reviewing medication regiments and needs for patients, while maintaining the quality, safety, and consistency of clinical pharmacy services in our specialty populations.
Dr. Sara M. Panella, PharmD, BCPS, CPh is the Manager of Pharmacy Ambulatory Care, Population Health and Transitions of Care (TOC) for Baptist Health South Florida Clinical Pharmacy Enterprise. Dr. Panella obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (EMSOP), Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. After graduation, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by a PGY2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency in Drug Information at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/EMSOP. She started her career in TOC at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD and has since developed TOC programs there as well as at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL. Dr. Panella has also held academic positions at EMSOP as a Clinical Assistant Professor and at Nova Southeastern University as an Assistant Professor and was previously a Residency Program Director for a PGY2 in Transitions of Care. Dr. Panella is currently working with the National Transitions of Care Coalition (NTOCC) as the chair for the Pharmacy Committee and is a sitting member on their Board of Directors. Dr. Panella is actively involved with Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacist (FSHP), starting up and chairing an Ad Hoc Clinical Forum on Ambulatory Care from 2019 – 2021. She was the co-creator of the inaugural FSHP Ambulatory Care Fall Symposium in 2022. She has represented the state of Florida as a ASHP House of Delegate member over the last 2 years. Currently, she is one of the Board of Directors for FSHP.
Dr. Sheerida Hosein Mohammed obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. She completed Pharmacy Practice residency at Broward Health, Fort Lauderdale Fl in 2000. Upon completion of the residency program, she continued her career as Disease State Management pharmacist then as Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator for Ambulatory Services at Broward Health. After 16 years at Broward Health, Dr. Hosein Mohammed served as the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at Memorial Primary Care, Hollywood FL from 2016 to 2022.
Dr. Hosein Mohammed is currently the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator for Population Health. Dr. Hosein Mohammed is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care (BCACP) and is also a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES). She is a member of the Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists (FSHP) and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES).
Dr. Angelica Berni is the Director of Specialty Pharmacy Services for Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Berni joined the BHSF team in 2018 and has overseen the expansion of specialty medication supply chain across the outpatient segment of the health-system during her tenure.
Dr. Berni is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University College of Pharmacy, where she received her PharmD. She also holds a Master’s of Science in Pharmacy Practice/Administration. Dr. Berni completed a dual PGY1/PGY2 Residency program at The University of Kansas Health system in Health System Pharmacy Administration. She is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, has a Consultant Pharmacist license in the State of Florida and a Preceptor Training Certification.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Berni participates as a member of a number of pharmacy-facing organizations—including The National Community Oncology Dispensing Association (NCODA), The Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP) and The American Association of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
Dr. Orlando Matas-Sosa earned his Pharm.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Florida in 2001 and subsequently completed a community practice residency at Drake University in 2002. Thereafter, Dr. Matas-Sosa began his career as a staff pharmacist and a district operations specialist/supervisor for 20 retail Albertsons pharmacies in South Florida. He has drug nomenclature regulatory experience as a director at the Brand Institute/Drug Safety Institute. Additionally, Dr. Matas-Sosa has been an inpatient pharmacist and supervisor at Mercy Hospital. Prior to joining Baptist Health South Florida, he was managing both home delivery and specialty pharmacy operations for Humana/PrescribeIT Rx, during which specialty pharmacy operations provided distributive, clinical, and financial services for oncology products.
Dr. Matas-Sosa is currently the manager for Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy, the outpatient specialty and retail pharmacy located at the Miami Cancer Institute (MCI). Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy provides chemotherapeutic agents and ancillary products to patients of the institute, including limited distribution medication, in an interdisciplinary practice setting.
Dr. Emilie Collongette is a Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Baptist Health South Florida and proud graduate of our residency program.
Dr. Collongette obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Miami VA Healthcare System and an Ambulatory Care PGY2 Residency at Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Collongette is a Board Certified Medication Therapy Management Specialist and licensed Consultant Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
In her current role, Dr. Collongette has an established collaborative practice agreement with Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care providers in the management of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and weight loss. She also serves as a preceptor for APPE students and PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. Dr. Collongette is an active member of Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP) and participates in the ambulatory care clinical forum.
Dr. Jenelle K. Griffiths joined Baptist Health South Florida in 2018 in which she serves as the Clinical Coordinator at Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy. Her primary focus is to develop the clinical programs around our specialty disease states that we service which includes oncology, cardiology, orthopedic health, and neurology. Jenelle has been able to establish clinical pharmacy services for the specialty pharmacy to receive dual accreditation (URAC and ACHC), educating our medical and pharmacy clinical teams on specialty disease states, managing a team that consists of clinical pharmacist and reimbursement specialists, as well being heavily involved in precepting residents and pharmacy students.
Prior to joining Baptist Health South Florida, Dr. Griffiths worked as a pharmacy manager for Publix Pharmacy for 5 years and helped developed programs such as medication therapy management, immunizations, point of care testing, and nursing home deliveries. She then accepted a Clinical Pharmacist position in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2015 with their Specialty Pharmacy department. Dr. Griffiths advanced to a clinical pharmacist specialist role, first in cardiology with a focus in hyperlipidemia, and eventually broadening her clinical role into dermatology focusing on psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and other inflammatory conditions.
Dr. Griffiths completed her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in 2010. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Griffiths is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and several pharmacy organizations—including The National Community Oncology Dispensing Association (NCODA), The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) and The American Pharmacist Association (APhA).
Kelly Rubi, PharmD, BCPS, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2022 from Florida A&M University, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Homestead Hospital, then a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident at Baptist Health. During her residency years, she served as the resident representative of the Graduate Pharmacy Education Committee. Beyond professional achievements, Dr. Rubi enjoys arts and crafts (currently focusing on crochet), beach days, and trying new gluten-free vegan recipes.
Madison Wood, PharmD, CPh, BCPS received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy in 2020. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and her PGY-2 Internal Medicine Residency at Memorial Hospital West. Upon completion of the residency program, Madison started her career as a clinical pharmacy specialist at Memorial Hospital West.
Dr. Wood is currently a Clinical Ambulatory Pharmacy Specialist at Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy. She provides additional services at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute outpatient clinic affiliated with Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, FL. Madison works with interdisciplinary teams to provide specialized care to patients in Neurology to ensure their access to medications, disease state understanding, successful treatment of their conditions and achieve the best possible clinical outcomes. She is a member of the American Association of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP). She also serves as a preceptor for NSU, USF and PBA APPE students.
Addie received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy in 1996. She is also a board certified Specialty pharmacist and a consultant pharmacist. She has 17 years of experience working in specialty pharmacy, with the last six years at Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy. She has experience managing various disease states such as transplant, pediatrics, dermatology and hematology/ oncology. At Baptist Health Specialty Pharmacy she has precepted students, presented several educational in-services including a CE for Baptist Health University and published an article in the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Newsletter. Addie also led a research project which was presented at the Baptist Health Academic conference.
As a Clinical Ambulatory Specialist with the Oncology Team, Addie strives to offer the best care to her patients by ensuring they have access to specialty medications and a clear understanding of their disease state. She has a passion for oncology and is driven by the impact she has seen pharmacists make in the lives of their patients.
