    Domenech Asbun, MD. FACS, is a hepatobiliary and pancreas surgeon at Miami Cancer Institute. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and the Program Director of the Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Fellowship at Miami Cancer Institute.

    Dr. Domenech Asbun specializes in minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat liver, pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal diseases.

    Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute in 2021, Dr. Domenech Asbun completed a fellowship in minimally invasive HPB and foregut surgery at the Mayo Clinic Hospital Florida. He has presented at national and international academic meetings and has published research in multiple high-impact journals. Apart from HPB surgery, he has a strong interest in global surgery and surgical simulation.
