In partnership with Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, the Baptist Health Neurology Residency aims to train neurologists ready to serve their community and contribute to academic pursuits.

The Neurology Residency curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation of knowledge and clinical skills in general neurology and neurology subspecialties, as well as train residents in scientific pursuit, continuous quality improvement and scientific literature appraisal. Program graduates are prepared to pursue specialty training or enter the workforce as neurologists in both community and academic settings.

The program is based at Baptist Health’s flagship hospital, Baptist Hospital of Miami – an over 900-bed facility that houses Miami Cancer Institute, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Miami Neuroscience Institute – and is integrated to include the PGY-1 Internal Medicine preliminary year.
