In partnership with Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, the Baptist Health Diagnostic Radiology Residency provides a strong foundation of knowledge and the highest-quality clinical training to prepare its residents for a career in diagnostic radiology.
Based at Baptist Health’s flagship hospital, Baptist Hospital of Miami, the program trains the next generation of highly talented radiologists who will serve the needs of patients within our diverse community and beyond, while maintaining the highest level of excellence.
Our program emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, cultural responsiveness, high-quality and high-value care, scholarly activity, lifelong learning and a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork. Residents gain exposure to both academic subspecialized radiology as well as community-based general radiology by rotating through the healthcare system’s various hospitals, outpatient imaging centers and institutes. The Department of Radiology at our facilities reviews over 1.2 million studies a year. With five residents per year, the program offers ample opportunity to experience and learn from a wide array of cases and provides significant hands-on experience in image-guided procedures.
Graduates of the Baptist Health Diagnostic Radiology Residency are prepared to pursue specialty training or enter the workforce as diagnostic radiologists, with the ability to work within both academic and community settings.
