Eligibility Requirements and Application Schedule
Our program attracts, educates, and retains exceptional healthcare talent to serve the South Florida community. Program participants will be trained in the Baptist Health Way with a focus on quality, inclusion, compassion, and collaboration.
Eligibility Prerequisites
- The American Heart Association developed the PALS Renewal Course for currently active healthcare providers (e.g., medical, nursing, emergency medical, or allied health personnel) whose daily occupation or scholastic activities require proficiency in the knowledge and skills of PALS.
- To receive a PALS completion card, participants must be an active healthcare provider whose training and scope of practice requires a knowledge base that includes the foundations of advanced pediatric life support knowledge and skills.
- Must have a solid knowledge of basic ECG interpretation.
- Must possess knowledge of pharmacological concepts and competent administration of drugs used during PALS.
Application Requirements
- Possess a current PALS provider card.
- Complete the online PALS pretest prior to attending class.
Acceptance and admission to the program is contingent on submission of all requested materials and meeting all eligibility requirements as determined by the program.
