Thank you for your interest in Baptist Health South Florida's Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs. As the largest not-for-profit hospital system in the region, with more than a million patient visits every year, Baptist Health is uniquely positioned to offer a wide range of educational opportunities for physicians in training.

In 2011, Baptist Health teamed with Florida International University (FIU) to address the shortage of primary care physicians in the South Florida community. The partnership's strategy included Baptist Health hosting FIU medical students at all of our facilities, and the development of Baptist Health's first Family Medicine Residency program. The program was launched in 2013.

Baptist Health also maintains relationships with other medical schools, and is responsible for hosting numerous clinical rotations, observerships and resident and fellowship programs.

The vision for all of our programs is to attract, train and retain highly skilled clinicians to serve the community. We are dedicated to providing all the necessary resources to attain our vision, including developing and maintaining an environment of patient- and family-centered care, compassion and commitment to clinical and service excellence.

I strongly encourage you to explore this website to see why Baptist Health South Florida is the best place to be your best.
