Accountability Measures

 

In evaluating a hospital’s performance, you want to know that the provider is accountable for offering care that follows the recommended best practices. You should research how well the hospital adheres to evidence-based medicine and does so in a timely manner. The level of compliance with these national quality measures and the timeliness of care should give you a good sense for the hospital’s quality.
