Surgical services are provided in four operating rooms, with room for future expansion. Endoscopy suites and diagnostic and imaging facilities are also available. The maternity floor for expectant mothers includes labor and delivery suites and dedicated C-section operating rooms within unit. The Family Medicine Center, located in the Medical Arts Building adjacent to the hospital, serves as the primary training ground for an accredited Family Medicine residency program developed in partnership with Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. About West Kendall Baptist Hospital Hospital

West Kendall Baptist Hospital opened to the public in April 2011 as Miami-Dade County’s first brand-new hospital in more than 35 years. It is part of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region.

Resources for Hospital Data

Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) makes available data on hospital prices and performance on their Internet website at FloridaHealthFinder.gov and Pricing.FloridaHealthFinder.gov. The data on hospital prices and performance are based on a compilation of charges for the average patient. A patient's bill may vary from the average shown, depending upon the severity of illness and individual care needs. The service bundle information is a non-personalized estimate of costs that may be incurred by the patient for anticipated services and that actual costs will be based on services actually provided to the patient.
