It is the policy of Baptist Health South Florida to promote learning at our facilities, with the goal of increasing the number of healthcare professionals in the area. To this end, our facilities will accept requests from qualified applicants desiring to take part in shadowing and observational rotation opportunities.
The program is open to anyone over the age of 16 who meets the criteria outlined in the application packet. An observership is a voluntary experience that does not constitute medical education, or any training leading to academic credit, licensure or board certification.
Participants are invited to shadow a physician on rounds within Baptist Health facilities. Potential shadowing participants must make arrangements to shadow directly with the sponsoring physician before applying for the Shadowing & Observational Rotation Program. To find a list of Baptist Health physicians, go to Find a Doctor
To review the Shadowing & Observational Rotation application, please call the Graduate Medical Education Office at 786-467-2633
. Hospital capacity constraints may limit the number of shadowing participants for a specific service.
