Situated on a 30-acre property adjacent to the proposed Kendall Town Center development, the hospital supports a vision of West Kendall as a convenient central hub where area residents can live, work and play. Through its “Healthy West Kendall” initiative, the hospital encourages residents to achieve the goal of becoming the “Healthiest Community in Florida.” The hospital campus’ award-winning design anticipates rapid growth in the area, with plans already in place for a second patient-bed tower, expanded clinical facilities and two new parking structures.
West Kendall Baptist Hospital provides inpatient care for adult medical and surgical services, including a separate critical care unit. The Emergency Department, serving both adults and children, can accommodate more than 70,000 visits annually. Surgical services are provided in four operating rooms, with room for future expansion. Endoscopy suites and diagnostic and imaging facilities are also available. The “Beautiful Beginnings” program for expectant mothers includes all-private labor and delivery suites and dedicated C-section operating rooms within the labor and delivery unit.
The Family Medicine Center, located in the medical office building adjacent to the hospital, serves as the primary training ground for an accredited Family Medicine residency program developed in partnership with Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.

Resources for Hospital Data
Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) makes available data on hospital prices and performance on their Internet website at FloridaHealthFinder.gov. The data on hospital prices and performance are based on a compilation of charges for the average patient. A patient's bill may vary from the average shown, depending upon the severity of illness and individual care needs.
